This is how the US military would put down an armed rebellion

What if the “2nd amendment people” Donald Trump mentioned recently during a campaign rally were actually able to spark an armed rebellion to overthrow the United States?

In a 2012 article for the Small Wars Journal, two academics took a stab at such a scenario and tried to figure out how state and federal authorities would likely respond to a small force taking over an American town.

One thing these wannabe Patton's left out in their pretend World is the strong will of the people. If this scenario began it would light a fire across this nation that would take hold in thousands of towns and cities across America. Remember they're only 1.3 million active duty personnel and 375 million Americans. You do the math. The majority of the families of the 1.3 million active duty personnel would certainly talk them out of any action against American Citizens. Another large percentage would choose not to obey an unlawful order to fight against their own people. This would leave only a hand full of treasonous communists who would in the end decide risking their own lives or that of their families to maintain an American Government so out of control it can't put down it's own armed rebellion is not worth it!
